Nowadays
technology has become very popular mainly in kids and teenagers and for this
education should take advantage of this fact in order to implement technology
tool to improve different students’ skills. Moreover, for this week was related
with the use of Internet tools for writing and reading skills. Also, in the
article it is stated that for a reading lesson students must be given with text
related to meaningful issues for the present days, since Internet provides a
number of sites to choose and in this way students will be encouraged to do
something different and then share their ideas during the class, rather than assign
the same reading for the whole class.
Furthermore,
for the improvement of writing we can encourage students to find different
styles for writing a document. Besides,
in the text it is been presented a lot of awesome and useful links where
students can practice their writing by creating a letter to a friend, a
bibliography, a description of a person and even an argumentative essay.
Otherwise,
when using Internet tools in education teachers have to prepare carefully all
the materials, taking in consideration the advantages and disadvantages, as
well as the time management for each activity developed online and the most
important to be heedful that students make a good use of the Internet during
the classes.
I agree with you Vanesa. We as teachers can take advantage of the technological advices, especially for teaching reading and writing skills. I liked when you pointed out about encouraging the student's learning process by becoming the classroom's panorama a little bit different through the technique of letting students to share their ideas about the reading that each student got, instead of assigning the same reading for everybody at the class.

Hi Vanessa, I have read your blog and let me tell you that I like your point of view about technology because, nowadays we can see kids and teenagers with smartphones, tablets, computers, etc. And we as a teachers we need to take advantage of that by making powerpoint presentations, videos, images, games, exercises and many others resources that we can use in English classes. But, sometimes we need to focus in one specific skill and the article mentioned the writing skill and as you said before, there are many websites that we as a teachers can use with students, in order to improve that specific skill.
ResponderBorrarSomething that I want to add to your opinion is that sometimes we use technology in classes because, we do not have much time to prepare materials, games, etc. And in those situations technology is a good tool for us and it could be more interactive.

Hello Vanessa I am totally agree with you, I think that we have to take in count that many advantage using tecnological tools, help students to achive their writing and reading skills. Moreover, as you said before, we as teacher have to encourage students in their learning process giving them different tools to share their ideas to develop activities. So, I think that this internet tools will help students to improve their reading and writing skills.
